With over 18 years of experience, Kristen Petrick, MA, Board Certified Behavior Analyst founded FamilyCare Autism Services to provide guidance and support for families and children in the Autism community.  She is fluent in both English and Spanish. 

Her passion for helping others and her career in ABA began in 2006 working as a direct interventionist for children and adults with Developmental Disabilities.  She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences from the University of Kansas in 2010. In 2010 she worked in an autism classroom setting as a paraprofessional before relocating to the West Coast for graduate studies in Applied Behavior Analysis. 

Kristen further developed her talents and education by implementing early intensive behavior intervention services in Los Angeles, California while completing her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis.  At this time, she gained invaluable experience for developing supervisory and clinical skills working with diverse populations. 

Upon completing graduate studies, Kristen returned to her hometown of Kansas to work with adolescent delinquents and at-risk youth.  She became a licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2014 and relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area. 

Since 2014 Kristen and her family, which includes her dog Stella, have resided in Santa Clara County and enjoy an active outdoor-oriented lifestyle that includes travel, hiking, music and arts. 

During 2023-2024, Kristen expanded her passion for wellness completing Yoga Teacher Trainings culminating over 320 hours of education on human anatomy, asanas, trauma-informed teaching, breathwork, philosophy, and meditation. Kristen is excited to continue to enhance and cultivate a compassionate community connecting the science of both Behavior Analysis and Yoga to foster growth and restoration of mind, body, and breath to all neurodiverse populations.
